Now Dutch ovens have a large following, I tend to Bang on about my beloved Aussie bush ovens but what about the good old 3 gallon army dixie?
I'm thinking of getting one as they seam to be plentiful and cheap and I keep reading about them.
Are there variations with some being better than others? All the ones I've seen are oval and aluminium. Oval I'm good for and understand it was so they could be easily stood over trench fires but did they make steel ones?
I'd love to know more and bet there's some experts in the subject here. A source of minters e would be good as well.
Along these lines does anyone know where you can get a unissued tea bucket? It's just what it sounds like, a metal bucket with a spout and a hinged lid. I've seen the tea defusers that were hung inside them for sale but not the buckets themselves.
