Please tell me this isn´t true! Saw a video where a person washing dishes said in UK you don´t rinse dishes in clean water after washing in soapwater.
In that case without rinsing all the food will taste of soap!

We have never owned a dish washer. Washing Up was part of the family social life. It still is quite a celebration at Christmas with loads of us getting the job done before the hilarity. We sit between fourteen and twenty one at Christmas depending on in-law cycles.
My children very quickly learned that there was only ever one reply to, “Aw Dad do I HAVE to?”

I rinse before washing.

No I never rinse after the washing up bowl.
No it does not taste food or drink.

I very seldom meet anyone who can wash and dry a glass to my standard. Something nice about drinking out of a crystal clear glass - especially if it’s wine or whisky.
Same here, you could call me autistic when it comes to rinsing the dishes. It has got to be absolutly clean. Rinsing every plate, glass etc under running water for at least 30 sec each.

I have three dishwashers....we all do our own :) generally under running water...which is wasteful, I accept that, but it works for us.

I reckon clean enough to be healthy, dried properly, and it'll do fine.

I don't ever wash my tea towels with any other laundry though. I do them by hand.

Okay, Chris, I'll bite - what's required to meet the standard? Enquiring minds, and all that.

I don't do a post-wash rinse and would say that's the same for my extended family, my wife's family, my former housemates, my friend's I holiday with. I've never noticed a soapy taste issue.

Extremely hot water - that was the trick when I did 'professional' washing up as a lad!

Nope - I have never tasted grease or soap on anything. Clean, hot water and decent washing up liquid - wash, drain and air dry.
