Great shelter. I like sleeping in them when ive the time to build one. Always seem warmer and quieter than wafer thin plastic , especially with a fire in front.

How long did it take you originally to build it... it sure was worth the time how ever long if it lasted 5 years looks like it will last another 5 more...

It took about three days to build. I throw more debris on it from time to time, usually when I clean up the yard. The wind, rain and decay slowly take their toll, but it requires very little upkeep. It was nice and dry on the inside during the last rain.

on the course i attended i built a cracker it was my first but i put alot of time into the thatching was very warm and watertight the only negative was at 3am i made the stupid mistake of turning my headlight on, only to see thousands of harvestmen creeping about i put out the light and thought of nice things and got back to sleep lol
