Hi folks my DC4 has de-laminated, I believe this is a common fault. I have 2 questions, how do I remove the existing glue and secondly what do I use to stick it back together?

Thanks in advance.

Tim

I should think you could scape the old glue off with something like a Stanley knife blade. Something like Araldite will be fine to re-bond it. Don't forget to really clean the mating faces before gluing.

While you are at it,

Unpick the leather pouch and re-sew it with the flesh side outwards - makes a great little stropping pad ;)

I took the glue off with a stanley knife blade, and I glued it back together with evostick contact adhesive.
I clamped it in a vise to dry too.
10 years and still going strong.
