Ok looking for an answer reasonable quickly on this one if possible.
I have been tasked by my CO to find a suitable day pack/patrol pack for our cadet force to buy to wear on top of our webbing (we are not interested in rocket packs). We are looking in the region of 25-30l bags and ordering an initial quantity of about 30.
I have been looking at the Highlander Forces (Pro force?) 25 on Lakeland Bushcraft (Hopefully Lurch reads this!), is this a good pack/ suitable pack and if not can you suggest something better?

Also any companies or traders represented here, what sort of price can be done (I am aware of the BCUK discounts including FM discounts but could this be beaten, again looking at Lurch here)?

Thanks in advance

I have never used Forces stuff but are you sure it will withstand some 'abuse' from Cadets (meant in the terms of it being thrown around, pulled off, people being pulled with it and the like) and so they not have zipped pockets that are liable to break?
Im sure a Surplus shop would probably do you a 'deal' of 30 of the NI patrol packs (im not sure how good they are) but they look tough.

Or why not go for the new type 'molle' type packs that i have seen on the airsoft sites

Could you suggest a decent molle type pack for a good price? Highlander bags are pretty well made in my experience and zips are pretty standard with bags so not sure what you can do about that but I appreciate your opinion. I'll look in to the NI packs though, Id forgotten about them. N.B the forces packs are about £30 each.

Hi,

Try the Templar Assault bag being sold by Trojan supplies. I have had 2 of these and they are very good bags for the money. They sit high, good build quality, have designated holder for bladders, twin ports (L/R) for comms/drink hose, internal lashing straps and external lashing straps below sack to take extra gear. Padded hip belt. If you deal through Trojan I'm pretty sure you will get a good deal on bulk purchase.
