When I lived in Fife I used to often have Moorhens visit the garden, then a Mink was sighted, never saw any again after that .

Yep -they are moorhens - ugliest chicks in the world (with the biggest feet)

There's loads of moorhens on the golf course I sometimes cross, they're the funniest of creatures to watch and will often run off in completely the wrong direction when they see me approaching.
