Having been struck down with flu this week I was wondering what to do when I found my gerber big rock camp knife in a drawer, the sheath was "tactical" design, but I found it to be totaly useless, so I decided to make my own. I managed to find some leather on ebay, £1.99 for five, one foot sized pieces.
The result was a tan leather sheath, double stitched with lanyard carry system. I designed it to be carried blade sharp side up as I dont like to run a sharp blade against leather.
It dulls the blade and cuts your sheath.
