does anyone have anything to say about the crosman king verminator air rifle?

Don't know anything about it, other than it uses co2 capsules for power, not cheap to run nor especially noted for good power.
My own preference for air rifles is to go for Air-Arms products. I find them very well made, user friendly, reliable and most importantly extremely accurate. I expect Rapid Boy might prefer another make, but hey, live and let live!

We bought my son a Crossman King Ratcatcher air rifle for Christmas.
It uses a larger CO2 capsule, about 200-250 gramms if I remember correctly.

It produces about 10ft lbs of energy.

It's OK for fairly short range stuff - no more than 20-30 yards because the accuracy isn't that good. But it is very light weight which makes it good as a childrens first gun.

Now he's got used to it and the idea of using a gun he's getting consistant 1 - 1.5 inch groups at 10 yards. For a nine year old, I think that's reasonable.
I've told him that when he can shoot a paper target properly we'll go after something that moves. He really wants to provide dinner for us soon.

Cheers

does anyone know how good the red tip silencer sound moderator for the king verminator is? and does anyone know of any other silencers/ soun moderators that fit nice and do a good job on this rifle?
