creating a persian style rug

this may sound mad but i love persian rugs, i think theyre so elegant and rich. but of course, you need to be elegant and rich to buy one, look at the prices http://www.twenga.co.uk/prices-persian-style-rugs.html i dont stand a chance! so i thought i might make one ive been looking for beginners guides online but all i can find is crazy looking old books and thats not what im after. is anyone able to help me?

Not sure if to take this thread seriously or not. If you had any idea how many skilled hours went into tying the millions of threads on a genuine rug I doubt if you would be contemplating it.

Truly, you dont want to know.

You can pick ones up cheap if you look around, though for a fancy one you will need real money.
