Hi guys, info needed please. First off, want to have a go at getting some crayfish. Anybody know any rivers in South Wales that may hold some? Also, I only ever seem to find Wild Garlic in woods near the sea. Does it grow Inland? Any help greatly appreciated.

The best rives for crayfish are in areas of hard water such as the south east (the one I know of) but there should be some around. Make sure that the ones you catch are Signal crayfish not the native White-clawed crayfish. These are easily identified by the red claws.

I don't know about the wild garlic, I have found it inland but I am not really sure.

I believe you need permission from the Enviroment agency before crayfishing, a measure to preserve the endangered white- clawed crayfish.
