was down by the cycle hub cafe when saw some asian students using grab nets with chicken drumsticks in the mouth of the ouseburn.
ive heard of chinese mitten crabs being invasive and present in these types of waters. is it worth a go trying to catch them and eat them?
are there any other "hotspots" for crabs and prawns nearby? would st peters basin, the marina, hold any sort of these species? cheers
