I'm not usually one for man made fabrics but after a long 5 day hike last summer wearing a British army issue coolmax t-shirt in brown colour I can say I was completely dry no matter how tough the walk got, and did not experience that hot sweaty feel you get when wearing normal man made garments. Very impressive stuff, and looking for coolmax in long sleeved shirts is proving very difficult. I think football shirts are made from this stuff??

Glad to know you guys like this stuff too. I'll check out the lcoal TK Maxx and Aldi/Lidl when I'm next in town. What should I be looking for on the label becuase I think this fabric goes under a few names?

Usually it will say Coolmax, although Aldi/Lidl's running stuff tend to be good anyway (it wicks, whatever the fabric). Running/Gym/Skiing/Cycling stuff comes up pretty regularly. The real bargain at Aldi are the bamboo t-shirts, but they were a couple of weeks back, and went very quickly.

I agree, coolmax to be fair is pretty impressive!
I always sweat loads (especially my back) and have found the issue t-shirts to be great! My missus bought me one for xmas that has a zip on the front which allows for even better cooling... Have had a quick look round for long sleave versions-im sure sports direct do a karrimor long sleave top which is virtually identical to coolmax. I like the sound of the wool shirt with the lining though!
