Confused by new hammock

I just received a Tenth Wonder hammock but am confused by how to rig it with the supplied gear.

It came with 2 x 3m rope, 2 x 4m rope and 2 x 2m tape along with two storm rings.

The shorter lengths of rope and threaded through the hammock ends at the moment but I'm not sure how best to do it? I had wondered about using the tapes threaded through the hammock ends and onto the rings, then attaching the rings to the tree using either of the rope lengths?

Is this the best way?

The tape is used around the tree, it should give good grip on the bark without damaging it.
I'd use either one of the ropes threaded trough the hammock ends, depending on which length you need/want to carry, connect the rope to the storm rings and then the tape around the tree.
