Knocked this up for a mate's 40th. First time I have taken on a request for something rather tham making a gift and just sending it.
Bark Tanned Fox fur for the lid
Roe Deer Buckskin for the main body
Muntjac Deer for the welt
Sewn using Buckskin thonging (and a teeny bit of artificial sinew as i need to investiagte/experiment more with making either sinew thread or gut thread for finer stuff)
All hides worked by my own fair hand as was the buckskin thonging.

Already I am thinking about the next projects...

the two deer from a friend who does deer management
I am fortunate to have a good stock pile of the hides to work (my wife and my parents who tolerate a fair amount of this stock pile being in freezers may argue against this fortune)
