Does anyone know of particularly comfy camp chairs that they would recommend?

I'm after upgrading to something with a high back and a nice taut fabric seat.

All tips gratefully received.

I have moved from a military surplus chair to a Helinox tactical sunset chair with a high back, nice and light, comfortable and packable. useful additions available as well.

Alpkit Bask here. Yes it's expensive, but it is very comfy.
If you are cheeky and actually phone Alpkit and ask if they have a discount code, they might just tell you. They did for me.

I have also designed a can holder for it. It's free on makerworld.

Another vote for Helinox. We have the One wide design.
Not high but you sit diagonally which works surprisingly well.
I got ours for half price at one of the NEC shows (compared to the website price)

I have a couple of Robens navigators - pack up small, very light, high back and a taught fabric.
I like them

I settled on a Helikon Sunset too. Only thing it lacks is arms.

Another one worth a look is the One Tigris Dragonhide. Can be used with or without the 4 legs. Bit heavier than the very light Helinox if weight is an issue and more of a faff to erect with the extra poles.

Edit: I see there’s a high back Tigerblade too. I don’t know much about that one. I’m

There's a Helinox Savannah too apparently, with armrest flaps..

Snow peak makes a really nice high backed folding chair but its quite expensive.

As someone who suffers from long-term back problems the chair I sit on has to be right if it's for going to be used for any length of time. My most comfortable folding chair is a Fox EOS (mainly aimed at anglers).
It has adjustable legs so you get it level, it has arms (very important to me) and the cloth is always nice and taught.

After putting in the hours at the Moot dutifully trying other people's seating arrangements, I was quite surprised to find that one of @Wayland 's "Director" style chairs was the clear winner on comfort!
