But......me being me decided the sheath was not all It should be (not in quality or general design) It did not tick all my boxes

Very nice mate. I remember when I decided to get a pouch for my DC4 on the new sheath for my knife I was in two minds about it. I've found after living with it its a great place to keep your stone

Nice work

Just ideas I had seen that I liked and combined - same as you have mate - I claim no credit in that. Difference is you made yours and I had the talented Tiffers make mine ;).

One of the things I really like with your work is trying something new the whole time. I do like to see something different. A lot of the things I try aren't necessarily "better" but I learn so much via experimentation you know? Now the new little item I am co-designing with Singteck may just be something interesting - I'll value your thoughts in a few weeks when its done ;)

Anywhoo - lovely sheath mate - I really must get to trying someleatherwork for myself one day (wonder if I can chatter Singtecks ear off into giving me lessons?) :D

I always thought that the sheath was quite good until I saw your modification. What a cracking piece of work. Well Done and thanks for the pictures.

Well been tinkering again!

Decided to add a removable dangler section to this sheath

first added a metal squared off loop of steel wire and made a basic loop of leather with press studs for removal if needed

Here it is with the loop fastened on

And the whole lot dangeling!!

I will add a better metal loop made of brass to match the pins in the knife when I get my hands on a bit of thin bar!

Love the dangler attachment mate - bet that will make it a whole lot more comfortable if you have a rucksack on!
