Well my lovely wife has just finished putting the marzipan and icing on our Christmas cake and very delicious it looks too :D

Just for a bit of fun I thought it'd nice to run a competition to guess the weight of it.

The person who guesses the nearest wins a slice of the cake and some small bushcrafty item that I'll add in with it.

Here's the cake, all you have to do is put down your name and what you think it weighs in metric (in otherwords kilograms and grams) minus the board it's on. To give you an idea of size it's on a 12" cake board :)

Please try to keep the list in order to make it easier to work out who's the winner

Just for H&S the cake does contain nuts and isn't gluten free (sorry Mary) but if you can't have the cake then I'll find an extra something to add to the prize :)

Oh boy - about 5.5kg
Keep the cake - just send the marzipan and icing :) (never did much like fruit cake... but love marzipan!)

Well laced is an understatement

The wife left me in charge of that part so there's the best part of a bottle of Brandy in it :D

Glad people liked the idea.

I forgot to say how long it'll run for so I'll announce the winner this time next Sunday :)
