Just a quick heads up..... If you're on a budget and need a file for sharpening or reprofiling an axe or knife. don't head for the specialist "Axe Files" that can cost up to £20 each. Instead get on Ebay and do a search for "Flat Chainsaw Files" These files usually come in a pack of 3 or 4 and cost around £5 a pack. They are small, light and come without handles, but don't let the cheap price fool you. These files have to sharpen chainsaw teeth which are hard chromed (stronger than steel) and they do the job really well, so are more than up to the job of taking dings out of blades and giving them a good sharpen.
They are approx 6" long and 3/4" wide. Only thing to look for when you buy is the name. Go for STIHL, HUQVARNA, OREGON or JONSERED. These are the chainsaw "big names" and they tend to have the best product. Hope this saves you some hard earned !!
