Cheap brass

Hi all

Any hints on where to get cheap brass, or brass that can be repurposed?

I want a piece 70mmx20mmx10mm and I don't want to buy a piece of bar stock.

I'm betting someone on here has the answer.

Try your local scrappy. They quite often have a bin of off cuts etc

Cripes!!

There used to be a seller of brass/copper bar and plate etc at a local bootsale, I bought a piece that was 10mm thick by around 300mm by around 150mm, It's in the garage somewhere, I never used it for anything!! It was supposedly to make knuckle guards and bolsters out of!!

I'll have a look at the weekend for it, If you've not sourced any i'll cut the size you need from it
