Thanks Jon - I used a Cannon Eos 400d with an EFS 60mm Macro lens. The handsome guy stared right into the lens for me

I have the same camera I bought it recently to replace my 35mm Yashika but as yet still only have the lense it came with till I get the hang of it. Looking forward to being able to take great pics like that

So glad you all liked it - been a bit stuffed healthwise lately and not been out as much as I like. It was a fantastic day up on the old Hill Fort where I took them - more than one type of blue - got some nice shots of both male and female Adonis Blues too as well as the "rare" but apparently increasing silver studded skipper.

I thought I would add a not great shot of the Chalkhill Blue "wings open". Not a great photo for sure but a beautiful Butterfly!
