Hi All,

Not sure if this thread should go here or in DIY, but I just found this site that has some good video clips of carving bowls and spoons, including a new (to me anyhow) technique of hanging the crook knife round the neck on a sling to work as a lever - check out the bowl demo. The adze and spoon demos are good as well - not sure about the planeing one though, maybe it lost something in the translation!

I had some trouble getting the divx ones to play and ended up downloading a player from here : http://www.download.com/3000-2139-10062728.html?tag=real It works and seems to be clean from adware as far as I can tell.

There is also some other info on the site - and the music is nice!!

I can solve that for you, if you turn your screen upside down it will play the right way up

Take more water with it old chap.
Video plays fine for me.

The bowl chappie has some very usefull tools.I particularly like the crook knife with the neck cord.

works for me innocent!! question; is the bowl microwave proof? and can you get the skirting for a hammock????
