Car Shear Leg Shower

The original idea I made this Shear Leg for was to help me load my canoe onto the roof. The problem was that I made it by eye and did not do the calculations.

When I first fitted it may mistake was obvious. WAY TO MUCH MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE!!!

If I have ever put my canoe on it, it would have ripped the front rail off, or I would have ended up with a mini

So I added a small pulley and the middle apex turned it into a shower.​

I know what you mean - I was there a few weeks ago for the first time in years - I can't imagine why I would go back.

At least if you went you could now decontaminate on the side of the M55!

That is SWEET!
Our methods to experimental methods may have collided in a former life. I modified an old pickup truck by ripping off the back driveline and welding on a PTO driven 62" tractor mower assembly. You could mow an acres in minutes flat.
