Car boot Billhook

Hello, today i picked this old billhook up in bits from the local car boot sale all for 50p. Bargain! .Its a Gilpin No2 , after a bit of cleaning and sharpening and making a new handle out of an old axe handle its all ready to go.The handle is a tad short as i didn't have much to play with on the thread (well worn) thats why the nut sticks out more than normal ones. If you want to make a new, longer handle, you could counterbore the hole so that you coudl tighten the nut (down in the hole) with a socket.
