I'm planning on doing my first canoeing trip in Scotland this Summer and am in need of some advice re. where to stay, laws, tips etc.
I'm planning on doing a weeks camp and would prefer to camp next to a river/loch where I can do plenty of canoeing but still have a fixed camp for the week. Any advice would be fantastic.
(I'll be posting this on SOTP too)

Too many options to list Heath :)

Have a look at the bloggs on SOTP, if you want peace for a week a then probably the further north you the better.

Try and get a bug jacket or at least a head mossie net before you go.

The Rainy Side of the Lakes.
Take some iron supplements and get some altitude training in first, to increase the number of red cells in your blood. This will help to prevent the almost inevitable anaemia you will suffer after offering your blood to feed the millions of midges that are Scotland's summer rulers.
