just out of curiosity ........

what with farmers converting fields into "set aside", minigolf ranges and even quad biking courses, as they are no longer profitable for food production

what would people be willing to pay for a secluded site where they could build fires make shelters trap rabbits etc and of course ramble to their hearts content?

perhaps with the added security of knowing that there is someone with a quad bike not a million miles away who could come to the rescue just in case

was thinking along the lines of 10 or 20 quid a week??

appreciate your feedback

Er, well, you'd have most of the people on this site willing to pay for somewhere to be bushcrafty for a start!

Why, you thinking of buying somewhere?

jus looking for feedback at the mo to be honest

but it is something i like doing

Now you're just being cruel, posting nice pictures of the beautiful outside world without warning whilst I'm sat at work.

Thoughtless you are Tant, thoughtless...

:icon_cry:

he he...I think it's a dream of all bushcrafters to have a bit of land. Certainly is one of mine!

Well the place I go is £1 a night with a fast flowing stream a place for a fire and a woody hilly thing. You do get very funny looks if your skinning something though.

So for a place that's going to be bushcraft friendly that sound like a resonable price to me.

If I ever find out what the place is called I'll let you all know, I'm not keeping it a secret :-P all I know is it's in Dolgellau so if any one else knows it.....

awwwww Kim , it was sposed to cheer ya up too

stick it up as a desktop background and dream the day away at work :-)

£10 or £20 a week to stay or as a retainer all year to be able to stay whenever you like? If £20 a week and there's water supply (not a tap before everyone shouts) then that is a fine price.

There is a similar thread on outdoors magazine re buying woodland to share but that is a minefield I think. Prices in europe (esp. Eastern) are very good as a matter of interest.
