Hi guys, had an overnighter yesterday and having some spare time I thought I would make something.

I didn't fancy the usual spoon or kuksa so decided to see if I could make a spade/shove for digging my fire pit.

Basically I split a log, used the saw to mark out the blade then split off the excess, used the axe to flatten out the blade and then the knife to tidy up the handle.
I don't think it would stand up to heavy use, or at least my hands wouldn't, but it did the job and I now know I can make one and am guessing it's the same premise as a canoe paddle too.

Hope you like it!

I made a small trowel for digging poo pits a while back, and used much the same methodology. However I put on a pointier tip and used a spon knife to make it more scoop friendly.
It has seen much action in my little woods :)
