I didn't really like the look of the ones from Craghoppers, etc. in Blacks/Millets, and thought them overpriced for what they were. I think I'd probably prefer cotton, too.
The first thing Google throws up is one from Orvis that is cotton poplin and looks quite well-made, but it has a hefty price tag.
The I came across some very slick-looking Safari shirts based on old designs:

But that's a U.S. company.
I eventually found this company, which imports African-made shirts and claims ethical policies. The shirt here looks OK - so far as it's possible to tell from an image - but has anyone come across the shirts as it were in the flesh and can comment?
