Ludlow and in the wild
Hi Guys,
last week, whilst camping up in Scotland, my Roselli axe shaft broke. i've had it for over 10 years, so this wasn't a surprise. However, while removing the old wood from inside the axe head, i noticed that the inside of the head is shaped like an hour glass and the shaft had broken at the pinch. Is this normal for axe heads or specific to Roselli? It does make rehandling very tricky as to get the new shaft past the pinch, you are left with quite a large gap around the top of the head, no matter what size wedge is used.
any advice or comments would be appreciated.

Cheers
