I just put the figure of £66 into a inflation calculator, and came up with a figure £470! That was a serious amount of money in 1975! You can buy the Robens 4 man tent from them today for £200 (http://www.blacks.co.uk/equipment/62019845-rb-twilight-dreamer-green-0.html ) - and its 3.5kg lighter!

Thank you for that...I have just put a knee jerk bid on one on ebay, (bit of a GC fan.... but would love a BCT ridge tent.)and this was just about the only info I could find. I don't know whether it was the explorer or motorist, but was advertised with extended flysheet...........

Eight months later............ now April 2017.........I have just bought one with extension, hasn't arrived yet....
Its going to vie with a GC Major and extended flysheet..........??
