A bit of WIP here. Doing a daysack for my son for cadets.
He wants it to be able to carry a minimum of, a summer sleeping bag, basha kit and a set for waterproofs. To be able to fit between nicely when wearing webbing and have a hydration pouch,
The material is a bit different to usual. The MTP parts are made from army issue bergan covers, a large one of these gives quite a lot of material. It will then be lined with 1000d for some addition strength.
The bottom 28x18 section is a top and bottom flap section, with a waterproof lining. This will be for all the possibly wet kit. Basha and water proofs. The bottom compression straps will secure the top flap, this also has a layer of foam to add strength.
All hardware is ITW and all webbing is military spec. All webbing stitched about 4 times.
It is maximum of 45x28x20cm, so roughly 24 litres. But will be quite compressible for when there is not a lot in it.
First set of pictures are of the front panel nearly finished. Just need to add the internal pocket, sew in the water proof lining and shape the top corners.
