Hi

It's a bit weak but I was on the South Downs today and spotted a bird and was wondering if anyone could identify it from probably the weakest discrition!

It was a hawk/falcon type of bird, big, a bit bigger than those big seaguls you see on the pier, and it was a reddish brown colour. A cross between a Red Setter and a brown labrador. Told you it's weak!

Of course if I remember to take my camera with me I could try and take a photo:rolleyes: :D

Cheers

Sonds like a Buzzard or A Red Kite Pib. They are both about in large numbers at the moment. If a kite then the tail has a noticeable "V" shape. A wedge shape is a buzzard.

Sounds like a Kite though

It's raised a smile on what has been a pretty rubbish day all and all! The kids will be chuffed to pieces when I tell them in the morning!

You'll have to get some picks for us Red!
