Hi guys thought I'd post pictures of a birchbark handled knife I recently finished. The blade is a lauri hammered finish 95mm. I really love the feel of that handle!

Thanks Stew. I actually bought a premade block which had been stuck together with heat. Next time I'll do it myself tho so as to have more control over the peices used.

Looks like the advantage of the pre-made block is that the bark used was far thicker than is available from UK trees. Unless you get the bark shipped in from Scandinavia...

Very nice, handsome looking knife.
Looks like the handle is a good thickness, comfortable, and grippy too.

Thanks buddy it is a great handle material. I've wanted one of these for ages and it doesn't disappoint!
