I decided to go for a stroll this morning and try out my Biolite stove in winter temps. It was minus 18c out with a slight breeze brining the windchill to minus 24c. I boiled about 24 ounces of cold water in very little time.....about 5-6 minutes in a gsi halulite kettle. I also plugged my iPhone in to charge while I boiled and drank my tea. In total I burnt two handfuls of wood and brought the phone up from 16% to 27%. Not exactly a scientific test but I'm very impressed! Here are a couple pics of this morning. Pine needle and chaga tea.

definitely a useful little gizmo, the fact it added 11% to your battery life while just making and drinking tea is brilliant!
