hello looking for a little advice prior to a purchase.

i am thinking of getting the 6 piece nesting billy can as can be seen midway down this page
http://www.lakelandbushcraft.co.uk/acatalog/Pots__Pans_and_Cutlery.html

but i have some questions i was thinking of using them on a folding bbq / firebox to cook rice and pasta etc in places where i cant have a fire well not a ground fire.

with them being aluminium will they withstand directish contact with heat like this or am i best to look for stainless steel ones i would prefer the ali ones due to price weight and quantity for the price?

cheers in advance

They're designed to be used on gas stoves so using them on bbq will be fine.

Only thing you have to look out for when using them on any heat source is to not let them boil dry

I bought four new sets of these billies form Ronnie Sunshines very recently for my Guide group, they are very much thinner / less substantial than the ones we got around 10 years ago so we are wondering how long they will last and how much more burnt the food will get?!?
