Bieszczady mountains

Anybody ever been anywhere near here? Have a polish friend who listens to my little local adventures and has strongly recommended it if you want to get off the beaten path. Just wanted to see if anyone has experience in the area and advice?

So far just a pipe dream but at least it's a bit more in focus than it was before

Well I've been there once or twice

Actually Bieszczady are great location- still wild and not crowded. I can absolutely recommend these moutains.

Probably going to spend some time there in december.

Not been persoanlly but heard great things. They still have wolves and, I think, bears in this region.
