What is the best way to hang a gathered end hammock?
Should i use whoopie slings or not?
Also would it be good to have a structural ridgeline?- and if so how do i do this?

i use my whoopie slings on my gathered end hammock. although to be fair i have replaved the cord on the ends with triangular maillons - the ali version - dont weigh much and i like them. Tried using a SRL but it didnt seem to give me much advantage and tended to get in my way so i got rid of it. Will have to meet up at the farm one weekend Jacob and compare setups. I need to get the kit out to set up my new tarp ridge line with my dutch hooks so it will be a good excuse.

Structural ridge line.
1 Gives a consistent curve to your hammock - find the most comfortable and then fix it.
2 SOmewhere to support your no seeum netting
3 SOmewhere to hang your glasses/headlamp/revolver while you sleep.
