The best concert I've ever been to was in the mid 70's.
The Enid, . I saw them live twice, once at Farnham maltings, and a second time at Guilford. Absolutly Spellbinding! The recordings just don't do them justice.

Anybody heard of Larry Miller Band. Larry is an amazing Blues guitarist from Reading?
Knew him in the 70's when his band often played at my local pub, and dated the bass guitarist for a short while,
( now im told he is a big shot, music producer in L A) Sadly Larry had a stroke and no longer plays, but if you like blues guitar, he's worth searching out.

I've spent many happy hours watching, singing and dancing to Sieze the Day, at various festivals.
So that's prog rock, blues and modern folk.
Eclectic mix for sure!

Blackbush, 1978, near Basingstoke, more a festival than concert, Eric Clapton, Joan Armatrading to name a few!

Was it the one you are talking about.?
It's gone fuzzy in my mind. I can rember clearly and excitedly riding my motorbike with a friend towards my first big deal festival, (I lived just down the road at Hook at the time, ) Im certain Dylan was there, or supposed to be, i wasnt a big dylan fan at the time, the rest is a total blurr! I don't remember entering the gig or going home, and no, I wasn't drunk or stoned!
I just always associate Blackbush with the Sunday Market , and Dylan.
Wish I could remember more.

Siouxsie and the Banshees right after John MacKay and Kenny Morris left. Budgie took over the drums then. The Cure were supporting, so Robert Smith did guitar; reading the chord changes off a bit of paper and with one foot up on a chair. ... they found MacGeoch after that, so before Juju.

'orkwind were always good. Peter Gabriel right after leaving Genesis. Aswad in Cardiff. AC/DC in the late 70s. Melt Banana in 2007 were excellent then. Wire in Finsbury Park c. 1990. I saw tons of great funk and jazz when I lived in Chicago, but it was a bit of a blur ... Jack DeJohnette's band was a standout.

Many many Glastos all through the 80s and early 90s. New Order, Elvis Costello, The Smiths were all amazing.

I think I'd have liked to have seen this:

Saw Underworld at Reading in the secondary tent. They were brilliant.

Biggest regrets that I've had not seeing play live are Neil Young, Kate Bush and Tori Amos.

I never got into Dylan. Have you tried the Greenman Festival in Brecon. Its only an hour's drive for me, but it might be too far for you. Sounds like the bands you might love.
