Berry ID please?

Came accross these whilst hunting for Sloe's yesterday, no idea what they are? but left alone just incase.

Looks like Guelder Rose to me. Berries can be made into a jelly, but are mildly toxic (toxicity is, I think, be removed by cooking).

The red of the leaves would suggest Guelder to me too.

I saw some of these at the weekend too while picking some wild cherry plums, and I initially thought they were redcurrants! But after consulting a field guide realised that they were Guelder Rose

Yes, Guelder rose. Taste a bit like Cranberries, so yucky raw anyway, regardless of toxicity. Make a nice jelly to go with mutton or lamb, though

found this tree stranded between some sloes and some apples
