Came accross these whilst hunting for Sloe's yesterday, no idea what they are? but left alone just incase.

Looks like Guelder Rose to me. Berries can be made into a jelly, but are mildly toxic (toxicity is, I think, be removed by cooking).

I saw some of these at the weekend too while picking some wild cherry plums, and I initially thought they were redcurrants! But after consulting a field guide realised that they were Guelder Rose :(

ooh fantastic, there's something else to harvest from the hedgerows cheers chaps ;)
found this tree stranded between some sloes and some apples ;)
