Bernie Garland woodlore clone project

Hey chaps. This is a new project of mine. A woodlore clone. This blank was made by Bernie Garland at http://www.berax.co.uk/#

Yes I know its ANOTHER woodlore haha but I wanted one of my own so here it is.

The steel is 4mm O1
Scales are curly burl maple with a 2mm red vulcanized fiber spacers
Brass pins and lanyard tube

The woman bought be a double bench sander today for my early B-day present hehe. Could not have been better timing

Some more sanding and then the Danish oil

I will get the finished piece up probably tomorrow afternoon when it has dried.

Excellent, I really enjoyed the transformation, crafting your own knife looks to be a very enjoyable process.

Thanks but it was an early b-day present haha 4/4 is the real b-day.

That looks very, very nice. I'm currently handling a Bernie Garland blank, but I went for his own design blade. I'm using some yew wood that I found on St Herbert's Island, Derwentwater (some "bushcrafters" had been building shelters, and they had chopped a fair sized branch off a living tree. I claimed the branch. ) with green fibre liners.
If I get something that looks as good as yours I'll be very happy.
