I'm considering buying a Berghaus Munro 35l rucksack and have a few questions:

1. How rain resistant is it?
2. Are there any dry bags which are designed to fit perfectly inside the Munro?
3. Can extra side pockets/pouches be attached to the outside if I ever want more space?
4. Does anyone on here have a spare one they would be interested selling or swapping?

Sounds like you need a Sabre 35, not a Munro, and there just happens to be one for sale here, with the pouches and not camo, at a very reasonable price.

N.B., I have no connection with seller at all.

That one is the Sabre 45 which is a tad too big for my needs (though I am still tempted though :D).

The fabric is water resistant but not waterproof.
Any generic dry bag(s) will fit inside or just get put in dry bags the stuff that needs waterproofing.
The Berghaus side pouches that fit the Munro (and Cyclops Roc) are quite hard to find and aren’t readily available. The best place seems to be to keep an eye out on Vinted. Savotta / MOLLE pouches might fit but I’m not sure. The original Berghaus ones have a plastic back and are ridged. They are only 5ltrs each so might not be worth the effort to find.

For my money the Centurio is a better buy and has bigger side pockets. The Munro is still a good bag though.

If you end up getting a Munro (still a great bag), whilst they don't have a specific drybag that'll fit in them you would be fine with any 40L drybag. The Munro itself will resist a light shower or two, but it'll soak up water and anything more than a light sprinkle will be a pain. Not only will all your stuff be wet, the bag and everything in it will also be heavy. I tend to use an external rain cover as well as a drybag internally for this reason - stops the bag getting heavy/soggy.

I didn't external rain covers for rucksacks even existed. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for a rain cover which will fit a Munro sized rucksack?
