This one is supposed to be a copy of an original found on Rogers (Rogers Rangers) island. But there were many different types available in the same 18th century period. Below is one such original:

In Berlin such an archaic pocket watch works pretty accurate, regarding the official time. It shows a middle of just 6 minutes and 24 seconds behind MEZ.

So, as I came whole my life between 5 and 10 minutes too late to every appointment, even with a Swiss made mechanic watch at the wrist, a sundial compass would be a realistic option for me. I even would have now a very convincing excuse of high scientific value.
