Looks nice! Is it a possibles pouch? What do you keep in it? :)
Yes :) . Use it for my tinder pouch, firesteel, Petzl Tikka head torch insect repellant that kind of thing. It's actually a little big, I'll make the next one a bit smaller.

Made it freestyle, cut the pattern out of newspaper first, it's all one piece of leather (except for the belt loops) so you only have to stitch up the sides. I think I kept the pattern so if I can find it I'll post a pic.
Oh I got the leather from Leprevo Leather I found the link in the resources section, it was a 2-2.5mm colombo side £16.80+VAT for 8ft square. Got the buckle from them too.

That looks really nice. I assume 2-2.5mm is the optimum thickness for making sheaths etc?
Thanks, I'm no expert leatherworker but 2-2.5 seemed to be a good compromise size for general work. If you were just making a possibles pouch you could go thinner. By the way the belt was 5mm thick.

Thanks for all the kind words :biggthump
Here's a pic of the pattern. Handy hint, stitch on the belt loops before you sew up the front, it's easier.

Forgot to say if you folks order veg tan from Leprevo it's undyed, kind of flesh coloured. I dyed mine with a bottle of shoe leather dye but leprevo do dyes too.

Have you tried stropping on the belt.. how is it?
Nope, but I have a strop made from the same piece of hide that works a treat.
