Unfortunately the time has come for me to give up canoeing. So I'm selling my BCP16. Dodgy knees and hip as well as my back just won't let me anymore.
The canoe has the usual scrapes and bumps but is structurally sound. It's Royalex and weighs a mere 21kg. It comes with an original Bell kneeling mat, factory fitted skidplates, 20200527_133148.jpg20200527_133139.jpg20200527_133135.jpg20200527_132144.jpg20200527_132253.jpg20200527_132218.jpga kneeling thwart and Endless River buoyancy blocks. Sad to see my pride go but it might as well get used instead of lying in the barn. I'm asking for £950. Those who know about open canoes know it's a good one!

If only you were closer I would be very tempted - I would have been up your way right now if it wasn't for lock-down. The East coast of Yorkshire and up into Northumberland was our next bit of our UK coast trek :( - I was really looking forward to that but it will have to wait until next spring now.

Shame really Mr. Broch, you're missing a good one
I'm waiting until Scotland reopens and we'll be doing the NC500 IN the motorhome. And who knows, the BCP might still be here. I'm lucky enough not having to sell. Just couldn't see my pride gathering dust in the barn.

I know, I know :)

My kneeling days are over I discovered on the Spey last September (hairy sitting up) so I'm going to be limited to more placid waters.

I hope it finds a good home but if you don't sell it, and I haven't done anything else in the mean time, I'll give you a shout.

Yep, from Newtonmore to Spey Bay sitting up - but it wasn't at the Washing Machine or Knockando that I came out :) - I found those fun - it was on the last day; just lost concentration.

Yeah but I stood for some of the Grade 2 rapids as well :) Never swam any of it ...................:)
Sorry - did not mean to hijack the sales thread!
It looks a great boat - very good reputation and looking in fine condition - if my joints allowed me to paddle still I would have it in a shot!
