It's time for you to vote on the November heat of this year's photo competition. This is the final heat vote before we have the Grand Final.

The theme for this month was 'Golden Autumn' It's proved to be a popular theme with some stunning shots. I'm tempted to repeat it for next year :)

Anyway, as in previous heats the winner will go through to the grand final in December, also their picture will be used on the BCUK Facebook page.

Without any further ado here's the entries.

As you say a hard decision, but I stand by my earlier comment but it was a hard task to choose, autumn is just stunning!

I agree about it being a hard choice. I really enjoy looking at the pictures, but can't say I enjoy picking just one out of such a strong field. The only reason I cast a vote is to show the entrants that their work is being seen and is appreciated.

One of my staff was researching into problems of evaluation of quality in the arts. Her tutor got her to pass the work of one group of pupils round all members of staff and ask them to put them in order of merit. Needless to say not one list matched another and no one selected the same work in first or even second or third place.

I once had a colleague who claimed that his method of grading work by top students was to stand at the top of the stairs, throw their work down the staircase and then award grades by which step the work landed on. Glad my pottery tutor didn't use the same method!

I could have easily voted for four different photos. So hard to pick a favorite. I just think to myself if I could only have one of these fabulous pictures to look at for the rest of my life which would it be.? So I guess I go for the emotional feeling rather than technical excellence. It's sooo hard to choose!
