I have just watched the last episode, did anybody else watched it?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0162blq

I did have a problem with understanding every thing.
A lot of beginning of story lines with no further action.
It felled a bit like reading a book where every 10 pages, you missed 1 page.

Maybe its just the language barrier.

I just read there will be a second season.

Cheers,

Jasper

It was a typical example of current BBC production values which seem to approach zero at times. The drunk farmer grows wheat, loses the crop and nothing more is heard of his arable efforts again although where the wheat could be grown on that upland farm is a mystery. Anybody really shot for desertion when only AWOL and arrested in England? Never read of a case. The conscientious objector was imprisoned but for what? He put on a uniform and joined the army. No money but the Mother somehow could use the local baths, a moment for soft porn? Boy didn't grow through the war years. School appeared to be an independent entity with no School Board or Inspectors. Funny way of artificial speech by characters in the fashion set by Lark Rise to Candleford and Ripper Street.
