Those aren't cows. Buffalo are one of the top three (animal) killers of humans in Africa, along with hippos and crocodiles. They kill more people than lions do.

That's why the Cape Buffalo is in the top 5 deadly animals to hunt on foot in South Africa.

They have real attitude when you look in their eyes - even from the back of a Landy!!!

The female Buffalo is still called a cow and I bet you most of that group were female buffalos out to rescue the calf so technically Rich is right in his title

That has to be one of my all time favourites - I have watched it many times before and it never gets boring...
I have seen Lion, crocs, leopard, elephant and Hippo when out in SA and while on foot ...the only time I was realy worried was when we had to made a wide detour around to batchelor Buffalo Bulls who were a bit too close to our track.......the thorn scrub was much preferable to getting noticed bt the buffs!
