The camera has an IR illuminator for night vision, so will light up stuff that goes in front of it. For £20 (neos.co.uk) I think they're great value

Probably it would be better to buy a camera that is also able to shoot down immediatly anything that moves around in front of it?

Yes, it would be a bit dangerous of course, but with such a thing we could become 100% sure what entered the working space.
