this is a shing utility knife with a full flat grind,it was handled byDougster with lignum vitae one of the heaviest woods available. This wood is so strong it was used as bearings in American battleships also it contains so much oil it is self lubricating.
The knife also comes with a hand made double dangler sheath also made by Dougster.
I don't need to tell anyone about the quality of his work , it's exceptional.
I'm looking for £120 or near offers.
Or swap for a new 4x4 tatonka tarp.

What are the dimensions (length, width, thickness, hardness etc) of the knife, sapper1? Or is it a 'standard' blade that I can see the spec's of somewhere?

ODG

It's a standard blade and the measurements are
length 230mm
blade length 108mm
blade depth30mm
blade thickness 3.5mm
hardness I'm not sure about but would suspect it's to the usual 57-59c on the rockwell scale.
hope this helps.

A bit too long in the handle for me - I've got long fingers, but a thin palm (80mm) so I prefer a more compact handle...

Good luck with it though - looks like a nice knife! :)

One of the very few users I ever regretted selling. I just loved the fit and the shape of the blade.

The fact that I'm massively spent on materials just means it's out of my reach at the mo, but I hope it finds a good home, it's a lovely knife and LV is quite hard to get now.

I'm gutted that this has become available now. It is a truly tremendous piece with the highest quality materials, fit and finish to both knife and sheath. I'm lucky enough to have had a good look at this knife on more than one occasion and it has to be amongst the best Dougster has produced and Chris had looked after it very well. If i did'nt have too many sharps on the way already, i'd have snapped this up without thinking twice. It is the bargain of the month at this price.:(

Andy's tarps are very good,

Mine is 5x4 and =only weighs just over 2 1/2 lb and packs down to next to nothing. I managed to keep a fair old stack of six foot long logs dry under it on the last outing.

You should have seen his set up at Middlewood, all stuff that he had made himself. Two seventeen foot tarps, a teepee and a baker tent. The man is a phenomenon.:)
