Joking asside, this is quite serious and sad news. I often sit in my Garden enjoying bird song and this is going to cause no end of problems for our local bird population.
not good. we have lots here at present and keep the feeders clean. 10 yrs ago we had lots of greenfinch now we hardly ever see one. we is not looking after our home planet :-(
We've stopped feeding the birds, they are better off without us concentrating their numbers artificially. No matter how clean feeders are the close contact of infected birds will spread the disease.
For soem curious and inexplicable reason we briders call them "Dolly Partons", as in look at that lovely pair of Dolly Partons when viewing a pair of great tits, ahem, I'll get my coat...
