Bugger thread title got my hopes up!

Joking asside, this is quite serious and sad news. I often sit in my Garden enjoying bird song and this is going to cause no end of problems for our local bird population.

not good. we have lots here at present and keep the feeders clean. 10 yrs ago we had lots of greenfinch now we hardly ever see one. we is not looking after our home planet :-(

We've stopped feeding the birds, they are better off without us concentrating their numbers artificially. No matter how clean feeders are the close contact of infected birds will spread the disease.

Loving birds and living in London, I feed my garden birds bigtime..........nothing nicer than a garden with birds and birdsong.

But this is sad news indeed - I need to read my RSPB mag more often........
