I know this has been recently mentioned but I cannot pull it up on the search.

Does anyone know where I can get metal (straight or round) wedges - or whatever you call those little blighters - to hammer into the end a slightly lose axe head/shaft?

How loose is the handle in the heed? The dry weather of late will have made things worse. If its been used a while with a loose head, has the top of the handle (where it goes in the eye just below the poll) got a dent or splintering is it worn? If it has you might have the start of a weak spot or crack in the handle and it might be a case of fitting a new handle, Once the join between hhead and handle is compromised it deteriorates and self destructs fairly quickly. I always think if in doubt for safety's sake fit a new handle. If its just got loose in the hot dry spell recently, a metal wedge is probabaly just the remedy
hope this help's cheers Jonathan

Oh its just clicking. Not very loose at all. A metal wedge should do the trick. Bushwacker Bob has kindly offered to post me a wedge or two. A gent and a scholar :D
